I am by no means a pro at getting Twitter followers. Getting more Twitter followers requires some work, but if you use the knowledge that others have (like BigRichB who wrote the Twitter Brute Force Guide), good Twitter etiquette and provide good value to your followers, it won’t take long for you to get more twitter followers. If I keep up my growth rate, I will have 60,000 followers in a year and that is by using these techniques casually (you can see in my graph where I take a break and join the real world every once and a while).

Nothing is as complete as TweetAdder (right now) for getting more Twitter followers, you can use it to get 1000s of followers every week and they will be interested in what you are interested in! I think some people call that “market targeted”.
TweetAdder has all the bells and whistles. It actually will take a bit of time to go through them all, but if I can figure it out, you can too. You are able to get mass followers with a few clicks of the mouse and the interface is really easy to use. The guys that built the software actually listen to what you have to say (your feedback), which is always nice. TweetAdder runs on Macintosh as well (if you care).
The TweetAdder guys have used their own software to build up their own following to over 7,000 in only a few weeks (keep in mind that some of this will be from popularity of the software). I have used the software to get a steady 600-1200 followers per week on a part-time basis without breaking a sweat.
TweetAdder is a bit more complex than Hummingbird but that’s just because you get some advanced features. If you like to have all the gizmos and widgets, then TweetAdder is for you, but if you simply want to power-up your followers as easily and quickly as possible, take a look at Hummingbird.

Hummingbird is simple, fast and powerful. Using Hummingbird you can grow your Twitter following by 1000s every week easily.
Hummingbird has a very professional look and feel to their site and software. The software allows you to follow easily and it will automatically unfollow anyone who does not follow you back. This is important because Twitter only allows you to follow so many people who have not followed you back at a time.
Until TweetAdder was released, I had always used Hummingbird for getting more followers. the nice thing about Hummingbird is that it is very simple and powerful. Right now it is Windows only but they are working on a Mac version. I still use Hummingbird when I want to get a lot of followers and I do not have a lot of time to sit at the computer.
Eventually Twitter will probably close the door on software like Hummingbird and TweetAdder, but like with anything on the Internet, if you act now and get rolling, you’ll have a large following virtualy overnight thanks to this software.

Twitter Snipe was one of the earlier software products that allowed you to follow by search in order to get targeted twitter followers. However, the installation is a bit advanced and it does not operate as smoothly (nor is it as intuitive) as TweetAdder and Hummingbird.
That being said. If you are a savvy computer user and understand PHP, MySQL (whatever that stuff is right?) and have your own web-server, you might go with this product because of the lower price for unlimited users. Twitter Snipe is still a viable product for getting mass followers.
Twitter Snipe works and helps your get twitter followers, but I found that Hummingbird and TweetAdder were superior and much easier to use (even if they did cost a little bit more).

Brute Force Twitter is simple and pure genius all in one. Out of all the products I have purchased, I was most satisfied with this one because of how powerful it is. I am actually using Big Rich’s (the guy who wrote it) tactics as I write this article. You can follow Big Rich on Twitter @bigrichb.
The main reason I bought Brute For Twitter was because Big Rich has over 75,000 followers! That is amazing. Right away you start thinking, how can I get more twitter followers like that? Twitter Traffic Exposed is an excellent resource for beginners and even advanced users will find some nuggets in this eBook. The eBook is over 70 pages long and talks about how to behave on Twitter, what TO DO and what NOT TO DO. I found that Ian did an excellent job of creating a text that had a lot of relevant information to anyone who wants to use Twitter and get more Twitter followers.
Here is how I justified the purchased. My time = more than $17.00/hr. The eBook is over 70 pages! It would take me WAY LONGER than 1 hour to create the eBook or research all the info in it. See what I am getting at?

The main reason I have included Twitter Traffic Machine is because it seems so popular for some reason. Not sure why.
I see a lot of people promoting this product on Twitter, but the truth be told, it’s not that great. Now…that being said….Twitter Traffic Machine does serve a purpose, it is a good tutorial on some free web services out there. If you look at it simply as a tutorial on using good Twitter related tools, then I think the $27.00 is justified.
I repeat…DO NOT use Twitter Traffic Machine as your main way to get followers on Twitter.
